Privacy policy

This page explains how I handle the personal data of people who contact me and of my clients. Effective from 19 October 2026.

What data I process and why

When you write to me or call me: name, contact details, company name and the content of the communication. I need them to reply to you and prepare an offer. The legal basis is negotiation of a contract at your request.
When you become a client: in addition, the data you entrust to me for the engagement and invoicing details. The legal basis is performance of the contract and, for accounting and tax documents, a legal obligation.
Data about the counterparty and other persons in a dispute I process only to the extent necessary to conduct the negotiation. The legal basis is my legitimate interest and the client's legitimate interest in resolving the dispute.

How long I keep the data

Communication that did not lead to an engagement: for no longer than 3 years from the last contact.
Contract documentation and engagement materials: for the duration of the contract and afterwards for the limitation periods, at most 10 years.
Accounting and tax documents: for the period required by law.

Who receives the data

I do not sell the data or pass it on for marketing. Access is limited to service providers without whom the practice cannot be run: Google (email and storage in Google Workspace), Cloudflare (operation of this website), and my accountant and lawyer where necessary for an engagement. Providers based outside the European Union process data on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Website and cookies

This website uses no cookies, analytics tools or advertising tracking. The hosting provider may briefly retain technical access logs, for example the IP address, for the security and operation of the website.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. Just write to [email protected] and I will reply within one month. If you believe that I am not handling your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).

Confidentiality

I treat everything you entrust to me in connection with a dispute or negotiation as confidential. I confirm confidentiality to clients in writing before they disclose any details to me.
